As SAC is a full cloud tool, we don't necessarily care where and on what type of architecture our tenant is hosted, and yet this can sometimes be important:

  • For security/regulatory reasons, your data may not be hosted in any country
  • Some features are not available on all architectures (publications, some machine learning features, etc.)
  • For import connection settings

How do I find out this information?
The url of your SAC connection will provide you with some of this information.

Votre URL est de la forme « <nom de votre société / nom de votre tenant>.<région de votre datacenter/type>.sapanalytics.cloud »

In the section " Region of your datacenter", your URL has a number, this number will tell you :

  • If your URL is a single digit, e.g. us1, it means that you are hosted in an SAP data centre
  • If instead your URL consists of 2 digits, e.g. eu10, this means that you are hosted in a data centre that is not SAP

The letter code will then tell you the region of your datacenter:

Finally, to find out the characteristics of your tenant in relation to its rental, you can consult the following page. https://help.sap.com/doc/aa1ccd10da6c4337aa737df2ead1855b/Cloud/en-US/3b642f68227b4b1398d2ce1a5351389a.html

This page lists all services offered by SAP in the Cloud.

To see only information about SAC, apply the filter "SAP Analytics Cloud" in the first column "Service Name", you can then refine your search with additional filters

(if not, you can also consult this page https://www.sapanalytics.cloud/product_updates/data-center-locations/ which lists the locations of the different DataCenters for SAC)

By default, if you do not request a private tenant, SAP hosts you in the datacenter physically closest to your location.

As this is a Cloud solution and by default a public offering, the information presented in this blog is provided as an indication only, in any case, only SAP is able to give you all the information about hosting your SAC tenant.
